Dr. Seuss Essay Theodor Seuss Geisel was born in 1904 he is better known as Dr. Seuss, one of the most beloved children’s authors of the twentieth century. Although he is most famous as an author of children’s books, Geisel was also a political cartoonist, advertisement designer, and film director. Surprisingly, he had strict guidelines on how to write childrens books. There was only one illustration per page and nothing could describe anything pictured. That way, children can work out the story from the illustrations. In addition, his characters are unique. Although his characters may seem simplistic, Geisel’s illustrations are inimitable. Through his drawings, word selection, and rhythm, Geisel’s created subliminal messages for his readers. Yertle the Turtle, written by Geisel in 1958, illustrates one of Seuss’s hidden messages: relationships with other people. About a population of turtles, this describes the relationship between a king turtle and his turtle subjects. As king of a small pond, Yertle wishes to have a throne built out of turtles which is high enough for him to see and rule over all the land. Dr. Seuss writes, â€Å"with this stone for a throne, I look down on my pond. But I cannot look down on the places beyond (Seuss). Mack, a little turtle at the bottom of the pole, complains, â€Å"I know, up on top you are seeing great sights, but down here at the bottom we, too, should have rights (Seuss). † Driven by greed, Yertle ignores the young Mack and calls for 5,607 more turtles. However, before the command is given, Mack lays it down. Dr. Seuss writes, â€Å"Decided he’d taken enough. And he had. And that plain little lad got a little bit mad. And that plain little Mack did a plain li ttle thing. He burped! And his burp shook the throne of the king! Seuss). † By his wacky drawings and rhythms, Dr. Seuss spreads a simple message to his readers about the importance of relationships between one another. As seen in the story, Yertle’s desire for height, power, and royalty prevents him from creating any form of a relation with any of the turtles. Although some turtles attempt to speak with him, they are shut down and ignored. Because of his ignorance towards the little turtles beneath him, all his power comes to an end, proving the negative aspects of running a monarchy. Concerning our industrialized society, â€Å"The Lorax† is another one of Geisel’s greatest works which reflects yet another one of his greater messages which is global awareness. Upon arriving to a marvelous place, the Once-Ler notices beautiful and remarkable â€Å"Truffula Trees. † In fact, he liked the trees so much that he deemed it necessary to create what Seuss called a â€Å"thneed†. Seuss writes, â€Å"in no time at all, I had built a small shop. Then I chopped down a Truffula Tree with one chop. And with great skillful skill and great speedy speed, I took the soft tuft. And I knitted a Thneed! (Seuss). † Someone comes by purchases a â€Å"thneed† and allows the Once-ler to live off greed as he chops down the rest of the trees, creating and selling â€Å"thneed†, after â€Å"thneed†. Seuss writes, â€Å"I, the Once-ler, felt sad as I watched them all go. BUT business is business! And business must grow regardless of crummies in tummies you know (Seuss). † The sky is soon blackened, the air becomes polluted, and all the wacky animals, including the Lorax, are forced to search for a better place to live. ‘Once-ler! You’re making such smogulous smoke! My poor Swomee-Swans why, they can’t sing a note! No one can sing who has smog in his throat (Seuss). † After chopping down the last tree, the Once-ler realizes everything is gone, the air is polluted, and his business has failed; â€Å"Now all that was left ‘neath the bad-smelling sky was my big empty factory (Seuss). † Although some people still remain ignorant, the smallest mistake can cause mass pollution and harm to the Earth. Most people do not realize what the Earth has to offer, and in fact, use it for their advantage, only to make themselves happy. Through the mind of a child â€Å"thneeds† are things we don’t need. Children will face the eyes of materialism as they compete with their friends to have the nicest shoes in the school, although not necessary, and like the Once-ler, possibly destroy their friendship, or analogically the Earth. Along with global awareness and relationships, Geisel also criticizes materialism through a variety of his short stories. In the book How the Grinch Stole Christmas he justifies that no object can make somebody happy, but rather, it is our own attitudes and perspectives that create joy. One Christmas season the Grinch has had enough and creates an elaborate and wicked plan to steal all the presents and smiles from the Whos. The Grinch complains, â€Å"‘Why, for fifty-three years I’ve put up with it now! I MUST stop this Christmas from coming! But HOW? ’ Then he got an idea! An awful idea! (Seuss)† The Grinch believes that by doing this, he will ruin the fun-filled holiday spirit that lurks in Whoville. He follows through with his plan and removes all the presents from beneath the trees. He soon finds out, he is unable to remove the smiles from their faces, realizing he has accomplished nothing. The people of Whoville, despite the fact they have no gifts are still very cheerful and happy just to have the people they love in their lives. Their spirit is what keeps the verve of the city going. After the Who’s noticed everything was stolen, Seuss rhymes, â€Å"But the sound wasn’t sad! Why, this sounded merry! It couldn’t be so! But it WAS merry! VERY! Every Who down in Who-ville, the tall and the small, Was singing! Without any presents at all! He HADN’T stopped Christmas from coming! IT CAME! Somehow or other, it came just the same! (Seuss)† Although the Grinch has all of the gifts and Holiday decor the town still has all their hopes, friends, and true morals. Materialism is a topic that is taught to every age group, no matter how young or how old. This desire for wealth and material goods, with no regard to morality, is frowned upon in society. The Grinch realizes that it is not what we possess that makes anyone happy, it is that the best is made from any circumstance. Christmas is a time of joy and laughter, and it is the rejoicing of family members and the spending of time with one another on this night that makes everyone smile and laugh. The latter is doubtful, because if Mark wanted to shroud this incident in secrecy he could have omitted the whole passage. Throughout the gospels, not only Mark, Jesus constantly commands the disciples to remain quiet about his miracles and teachings. Some scholars believe this reason for Jesus’ command to remain silence was because Jesus was the Messiah.4 This theory follows that there was a Messianic Secret, but was it Jesus’ or Mark’s? Neither are they any divine people nor do they worship their work. Needless to say, they aren’t concerned whether a future Picasso or Einstein is under their care; all they are concerned about is their job and how to complete it as fast as they can. Good teachers are like gems in a bag full of pebbles; extremely rare and tiresome to discover! However, they are indispensable for providing a befitting education to our children. ‘What really makes a difference, what matters more than the cl ass size or the textbook, the teaching method or the technology, or even the curriculum, is the quality of the teacher’(Newsweek). So if the products are not qualitative enough, then there is more probability of losing the customer but if we have qualitative product, then more customer’s gets attracted and there will be more sale. Hence, qualitative product for the customers helps to make more profit in a business. As our Company is Holden, our products must meet that standard. All the customers must feel they are getting more than they paying. Price: If the price of the Holden cars are affordable and economic, and if there are more models and offers then it’s obvious the sales will increase. Organizational Commitment: Job Satisfaction, Stress, Motivation

Today’s organization because of global competition and cost cutting had lead to great changes in the organizations leading to greater effect of organizational behaviors. Some organizations are losing employees to other organizations and some employees are losing their efficiency due to the lack of job satisfaction, or due to stress and/or due to lack of motivation, or combination of many factors. Colquitt et al has described various factor effecting employees and its organizations in organizational behaviors, 2nd edition. Controlling stress and self motivating is very important to achieve goals, and when goals are met moral is elevated. Job satisfaction leads to organizational commitment and job performance. Almost every organization faces some kind of brain drain when an employee leaves the organization. Human resource management and managers have developed many strategies to understand employees and their problems, to improve organizational behaviors by providing trainings to employees related to organizational commitment and engagement, as organizational commitment leads to better job performance and job satisfaction, which leads to better quality of product or service, which leads to more customers and growth in revenue. For an employee, job satisfaction may mean many things like good pay, frequent promotions, enjoyable coworkers, work, authority/status, moral cause, environment, etc (Colquitt et al. , 2010). An employee with high job satisfaction will have high positive feeling for the work and organization, and will have high motivation also. When an employee is motivated, attains job satisfaction consecutively performs better. Work related and non-work related stresses have an effect on organizational behavior. An employee has to control stress and reduce the strains caused by stress to take a better judgment and decisions. Every generation has been demanding something from its people, with time people also became very challenging and people who thrived and succeeded had always been role models for many ambitious leaders. Today’s work place has became more challenging as business is no more concentrating to a small group of people or region, rather businesses are done more globally, across continents targeting wide variant of people. Today’s organizations are facing more competition, has to deliver more quality and quantity for less cost is putting its management and employees on the edge to provide demanding work. Employees who are motivated work hard to meet the goals, when the goals are met their job satisfaction level increases. Last year I was working in a multinational company and their primary business was related to telecommunications and data hauling over optical fiber. Most of my projects and applications are supporting manufacturing and operations of the organizations, whose manufacturing was spread across mainly in USA, China and Thailand. Our team size was ten employees reporting to a manager. Every employee in the team was very happy, enjoyed the work, and took ownership of the project, worked with full commitment. On an average, every employee in the team was with the company for at least 5 years. Senior most employees in the team was working with the same organization for 13 years and youngest was 2 years. Even though every employee was committed to their work, had job satisfaction in various factors, few employees were stressed out and had negative satisfaction with regards to unfair promotions. As few employees felt that the manager was biased and showing favoritism to one of the employee, demoralized employee who were with the company, team for longer time. Even though every employee was very committed, showed high degree of job performance due to unfair promotions and due to lack of growth opportunity, it demoralized employees, forcing to either quit or underperform or just do the given job rather than deriving the best for the organization. What I noticed over the period is an employee who had stayed in the company for less than two years have high commitment, engagement, job satisfaction and moral anticipating that his work will be recognized some day and rewarded. In the case on employees who are more than two (2) and less than five (5) ears tend to lose their commitment, job satisfaction and moral as what they have anticipated never met or addressed. In our case, as in my team for more than five to eight years there was no promotions neither growth track nor visibility. During that time, when the manager showed favoritism by providing high visible projects and tasks to one employee while demoralizing that others are not capable to do the task, had deeply wounded and demoralized team spirit and motivation. After dragging feet for a while few employees either left and few just underperformed and continued to work for various other reasons. Few employees including me, confronted the manager and raised objection for not providing proper growth opportunity, as there was no improvement in the situation, unable to stay there at the same time, unable to underperform, I applied for different organizations and quit the company. For an employee job satisfaction can mean in many ways, for few high pay means job satisfaction, for few promotions and recognition, for few if their supervisor is polite and good, for few if their coworkers at work are friendly and helpful, for few if they like the work they do may bring job satisfaction (Colquitt et al. 010). According the Job characteristics theory, variety, identity, significance, autonomy and feedback play a vital role in job satisfaction as in the new job workplace, when I ask senior most employees who are with the company for more than twenty five years, their response is similar opportunity to switch to different tasks after few years, identity and engagement, significance and importance of the work and employee, freedom and independence to perform work and finally feedback and employee appreciation from managers and customers. It would be difficult to satisfy every factor to hundred percent but if every factor is addressed to a degree at least will lead to job satisfaction. The job responsibility puts an employee into stressful situation. If roles are conflicting or very ambiguous, it will lead into very stressful situation. If roles are conflicting, there can be a possibility of hurting the coworker and other team members, as in my case because of role conflict and ambiguity, confusion started among coworkers and ultimately the task was delayed and deliverables were delayed due to improper handling and uplication of work. To avoid coworker misunderstandings roles has to be very well defined to avoid conflicts and ambiguity. Motivation is very important for anything, our team was very motivated, took ownership of every project, worked to resolve the issue and did not wait for direction. Freedom to perform the task and utilizing the available resources primarily motivated the team. The company provided convenient if necessary hundred percent tele-working facility, employee can work almost from home that motivated few more than anything. Due to current recession, stable job motivates few employees and more pay sometimes satisfies and motivates. I like goal setting theory, as small goals will direct and drive to big goal. Working in IT for long time, I was able to complete entire project by breaking the project into small pieces and completing one piece at a time. Based on my experience, I think goal setting theory is the best and will provide step by step approach to the final goal. Organization and managers have to work with employees to understand the emotions of the employee, understand strong points, and understand the weak areas of the employee. Every employee may not be an expert in all areas. It is the responsibility of manager to use the resources properly. If a manager doesn’t utilize the resources properly then it will create a role conflict and stress related to work and coworkers. Employees have to communicate with managers and open the dialog, express the issues. Managers have to consider employees suggestions or issues and try to resolve the issues. It would be difficult to address all issues, but honest opinion and honest no is far better than political statements. Organizations have to provide required trainings and periodically conduct surveys to understand the trend of the employees thoughts and organizational commitment. Organization losing an employee is a lose for both employee and organization and not just for one. Employee has to rebuild the trust in the new organization, learn the business and gain knowledge and for organization has to have to hire a new suitable employee and train the employee to perform the job. Organizational commitment is very important and to achieve high level of organizational commitment employee has to have high level of job satisfaction and job performance. High job performance will lead to good recognition. Good recognition will lead to high job satisfaction. As an employee’s keeps attaining recognition their motivation will be high to take more job responsibility. Even though job satisfaction means many things to many employees, ultimately job satisfaction leads to job commitment. In the present world, due to recession employees are very demoralized because of many rounds of layoffs, outsourcing. HR and organizations are frequently conducting surveys and employee meetings to update the status of the company, which will help employees to open a dialogue and express their concerns to their managers. Managers have to provide an honest opinion and try to resolve the issue. Organization commitment is very important for organization and employee.

Bloody bawdy villain! Essay

Is there anything more to say about Claudius’s role and characterization in the play? Hamlet was written by William Shakespeare in the Elizabethan era. It is widely believed to be one of his greatest plays, although not everybody agrees, T. S. Eliot calls it an ‘artistic failure’ and contrasts the play to that of Mona Lisa, claiming that Hamlet is the â€Å"Mona Lisa of literature. † Nevertheless, Hamlet has been debated over the centuries by the greatest scholars of the generations. The play revolves much around the corruption of the State and Crown of Denmark; Hamlet calls Denmark â€Å"an unweeded garden†. Claudius is the central antagonist in the play, and is the focus of revenge throughout the play. Not only did Claudius commit regicide and patricide, but he also effectively stolen Hamlet’s God given right to rule and married his mother hastily after the death of his father. Millions of words on thousands of books and articles have been written on Hamlet. They stand in ironic contrast to Hamlet’s final words â€Å"The rest is silence|. The ghost of King Hamlet appears early on in the play and claims that his brother Claudius is responsible for his death, referring to Claudius as a ‘serpent’ which has connotations of poison and evil. In the gospel of Matthew, Jesus tells the twelve apostles to be â€Å"wise as serpents, and harmless as doves†. The Book of Revelations, however, implied a connection between the serpent of the Garden of Eden and Satan, and as a result the snake for Christians lost their earlier associations with wisdom and healing and became symbolic of evil. Once the truth is revealed to Hamlet by the ghost, Hamlet swears an oath to avenge his father’s murder and becomes increasingly obsessed with exposing Claudius as a ‘bloody bawdy villain’ which results in the production of the ‘The Murder of Gonzago’ which clearly reflects the murder of his own father. Although Claudius attempts to repent his sins and prays to God for forgiveness, he only does so after he becomes suspicious of Hamlet, â€Å"madness in great ones must not unwatched go†. Hamlet decides not to kill Claudius at the chapel for while he is in a state of grace, he may be entered into heaven, which clearly would not be just revenge. Although, Claudius cannot pray for he is still in possession of the rewards of his murder, the Crown and the Queen, â€Å"My words fly up, my thoughts remain below. Words without thoughts never to heaven go†. Therefore in order to repent and to be admitted into heaven, Claudius must give up his thorn and his wife, since Claudius is unwilling to do either the audience must assume that he is not truly remorseful of his crime. To add insult to injury, Claudius is married to Hamlet’s mother. Hamlet therefore doubts whether or not his mother had any involvement within the murder of his father considering their hasty marriage hereafter. Not only has Claudius murdered his brother and the former king, he also attempts to kill his nephew and the rightful king of Denmark. Claudius becomes worried that Hamlet has discovered his secret and sends Hamlet to England for his death. However, when this fails Claudius cowardly attempts to persuade the melancholy Laertes to kill Hamlet in a duel with a poisoned sword. Claudius has committed a multitude of sins, his character is deceitful and cowardly. His greed caused the death of many and he was deceitful throughout the play all the characters. What agitates me the most is the friendly attitude Claudius seems to display towards Hamlet â€Å"But now my cousin Hamlet, and my son† this to me seems extremely insensitive. At the end of the play, Hamlet achieves his revenge upon Claudius, but many innocent lives were lost in the process; Ophelia, Polonius, Laertes and Gertrude. Claudius says in Act 5, Scene 2 â€Å"Our son shall win†. Claudius is cowardly character is evoked until the play of the play, Claudius could have saved his wife from death, although he says â€Å"Gertrude, do not drink! † He could have spared her life by declaring the cup was poisoned or by forcibly taking the drink from her, instead Claudius watches as his wife drinks from the poisoned cup which he had prepared, she died by his hand. It is not until Laertes proclaims â€Å"Thy mother’s poisoned- I can no more- the king, the king’s to blame† that Hamlet gains his just revenge. There are no positive qualities of Claudius evoked throughout the play. He is indeed a ‘bloody bawdy villain! Remorseless, treacherous, lecherous, kindles villain. † Claudius deserved his fate, he was a tyrannical dictator who achieved his throne through bloodshed and dishonor. Hamlet remains one of Shakespeare greatest works due to the realism and diversity of the play. Shakespeare uses the image of rottenness in the play to suggest to the audience that a rotten king makes a rotten country and the greed and ego of one man can bring the country to its knees. Shakespeare achieves this by using metaphors; â€Å"unweeded garden† â€Å"serpent† and â€Å"maggots†, Shakespeare uses the theme of corruption to evoke to the audience that â€Å"power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely†.

I think that we are really dependent on technology. I think that if technology will be lost we will die of hunger. If they don’t have their daily wants such stated in the following websites Yahoo Messenger, Friendster, Google Search, and Email. I think that an average teenager can’t live a single day without the following: television, refrigerator, computer, rice cooker, heater, MP3 player, DVD player, VCD player and camera. I think that we are so dependent on the said gadgets that we forgot to use our own talents to the basic needs without the use of the said gadgets. A. Rebels The Rebels in our generation our influenced by Media. They are envied from what they see. As currently explained form our generation has the freedom that are heroes wanted back then. I think that we are abusing the gift that God gave us. When we use too much freedom. We intend to abuse it in a bad way. When we cannot have freedom we want from our parents we intend to rebel form them. We will do any bad ting that we can think of and do it so that we will get what we can. They will give what they can really give you. Some teenagers rebel because their parents do not love them no more. They’re parents do not care to them anymore. Some do not even know the names of their child. Do when a child needs attention from their parents. The child make himself notice by them. They do bad stuffs to be noticed or to become popular. Some teenagers see their idols as a guide in their lives. What they see their idols doing, they think it is right because they are old enough to think so. If they grow old think about their mischief back then it will be so childish. If they do what the artist does their friends will think that they are so cool and so brave to do so. If they do it they will be like their own idols. They should not follow it they should accept themselves. B. Aspiring Leaders If you think that are generation if filled with rebellion and hatred for their country. You think wrong. There is still hope for our generation. They are the ones who are called the children of the future. They are the future Politicians of our country that will save it from misery. The persons who can save our nation are the aspiring leaders. These are the ones who are studying in their houses. They always follow the instructions of their parents. In our generation they are the people called â€Å"play it safe â€Å"ones because from its meaning they do the things in a good way. They follow their parents and they do not do crimes or other bad stuffs. Even though that they have freedom, they do not really abuse it because they know their limitations. They do not go beyond their limitations. They also do not take risks because they might get in a big trouble . These kind of people do the right thing. In the end God will provide them on what he/she deserves. They will be rewarded with such power. The rebels will envy them for having it. They will envy them when they grow up. I think that these kinds of people truly accept who they are and put themselves in a position where it is safe. They do not care if they will be uncool to the popular. They do not even care if they fit in so they will be outcast or not. They are the ones who will serve our country when in need of danger. II. Influences. There are so many influences in our generation. I think that the biggest influence that they can give is your friends. It really depends upon your friends on what you do or do not like. Especially in types of music and clothes. Your friends tell you what suites you the best. You will just get unlucky when you get the bad ones. If you think that they are your true friends. In truth they are just using you to become more popular. A. MTV MTV is a channel that has influenced so many generations for so many years. They have so many kinds of music. This is the channel that can not be beaten by others. It has many loyal fans to protect it from being destroyed. They are always innovating their logo for the past year. I think that every month they always change their infomercials. I think tat is also a factor why viewers want to watch it especially the teenagers. This is also one of their traits from being one the top. This is also the channel where teens get to watch their idols for free. I mean they pay their cable and stuffs; this is the cheapest way to get to look at their idols. They get to see new music videos by their idol. It does not show just a specific music genre. It caters all genres because it says music in its name. There are also many benefits from watching this so Sponsors are flowing out. The good thing about this channel is that it seen all over the world. It does not just cater Americans but also Filipinos. People form different cultures are seeing the other cultures of Pop artist. Sometimes they get easily influenced from them. Different cultures als see it daily. Sometimes it becomes as their daily chance of survival . they get to see their idols for free. A. Music Genre There are so many music genres nowadays. These are following types of music: Classical, techno, Jazz, Rhythm and Blues, Rock, Rap. Classical is a type of music that is â€Å"a written tradition†. This is a type of music wherein it is based on what tradition you put up to. These are some example of artist who sang classical : Johann Sebastian Bach, Frank Zappa, Wolfgang Mozart, Philip Glass, Josh Groban, Ludwig Van Beethoven, Philip Sousa, Strauss, and many more classical artists Techno is a type of music that was made by the computer. Some are played with organ. It is usually sang by an electronic gadget and not a person. It has more noise than other music. Artist like: Bonnie Bailey, Beastie Boys, and Hed Kandi are singing techno Music. Jazz is a type of music from folk blues. It is usually instrumental. Music like jazz is played by a saxophone, piano, double bass, and other instruments. Artists like Miles Davis, Norah Jones, John Zorn, Herbie Hancock, John Scofield, Bobbie Mc ferrin, Louis Armstrong, Harry Belafont, and Juan Baez are different kinds of music artist. Hip-Hop/Rap came in the inner cities of US. It is used with a DJ mix. Usually The lyrics of some artist are impromptu and really comes from their mind. Most of it’s songs are about sex, racism, and drugs. Most af the artists and listeners are Black Men. The artists in Rap are: 50 cent, Eminem, Nelly, Jayzee Chazez, Raz Cass, David Banner, Jean Grae, Andrew E, Salbakutah and Francis Magalona. Reggae came from Jamaica in the late 1950’s. It’s popular form of music is intended for dancing. You will also hear it in beach houses. This music is very popular in Latin America. There are so many devotees of it nowadays. It also promotes drugs because marijuana is legal in Jamaica. The following artist who sing reggae are: Bob Marley, Baby Cham, Sizzla, Tony Curtis, Black Uhuru, Cobra, Bushman, Dennis Brown and Donn Cambell. Rhythm and Blues names a black popular tradition. It is contemporary Black pop music. It has funky rhythmic patterns. It emphasizes polyphonic singing. Artists like: Alicia Keys, Eve, Beyonce Knowls, Black Eyed Peas, Keyshia Cole, Scarface, Jaheim, Heather and Hedley, and Pussycat Dolls. Rock music also comes form 1950. People think that the music comes from the devil. These are some artist of the rock Music: Perfect Circle, Slapshock, KISS, Audioslave, Linking Park. Pop is a kind of music that is very teeny. The music that they are into is very melodic. TV Shows There are so many shows in MTV that are influencing us in our time. These shows are immoral too adults. The shows here are just gags. They are just trying to make their ratings high. The following shows are Pimp My Ride, MTV, Laguna Beach, MTV’s Prom Date, Punked, Date my Mom, Spring Break 2006, Whatever Things, home Wrecker, High School stories, Made, Making the Band, Making the Video, Daria, Viva La Bam, Viva La Bam, Your Show, Power girls, Meet the barkers, Your Show, TRL< Trippin, Trick it Out, true life, score, Yo Mamma, Weekend Mom, Trailer Fbulous, Room Raiders, The Ousbourns, Next, Diary, Gaunlet 2, Run’s House, Parental Control and Sucker Free. Pimped my Ride is a show in MTV that makes your dream car come true. It goes all over America to find the man who has a ugly car. They try to make you happy by making over your ugly car to a beautiful one. It gives hope to people to be lazy. If you want your ream car to come true. You should try your best to work hard for it not hope for just a pimp my ride. You should save money for it. It often teaches Materialism. Cribs is a Show in MTV that shows about the houses of the most famous persons in the World. It sometimes show in the negative way. You will hope to be a mopve stars. Stars do not study. So if you will not study you will be famous. You should dream to have a certificate in a University and be a diplomat or something. However it entertains you. Punked is a show that gas on Famous movie stars. It is hosted by Aston Kutcher who is very hot. It shows how to prank people. How to revenge. You will see one of the best pranks in TV. You can also see their true reaction. It is bad because you are unconsciously hurting the feelings of others. You will learn who our true friends are. You will also realize that MTV tolerates the bullies in School. The things that they do are funny. In general it’s really not. They will teach you how to make fun of others and revenge. God said that you should forgive others for you should obtain mercy. So the artists that were prank should just forgive the pranker. In generally teenagers think that it is funny. When they analyze it further the show is all about gags, prank. It is another way so that the ratings will get high. III. Effects A. Crimes and their Rates Statistics says that the rating of teenage criminals is increasing. They do some much criminal stuff. These are following crimes: taking illegal drugs (shabu, marijuana), stealing, lying, having premarital sex, gambling and killing. They are easily influenced by media to have sex. Media affects their minds. It controls what the young people think. If you just look at some lyrics of the top artist now that were said in my previous article. It promotes premarital sex. They say that sex is good and you will have pleasure in doing it. It is also good because everyone does it. They are also promoting drugs. Some lyrics promote taking marijuana. That even artists. Easily writes songs when they are drugged. So the lyrics that they write are also about drugs. Even in movies, they promote Amsterdam as their ultimate fantasy dream to go there. In Amsterdam prostitutes and marijuana are legal. It promotes illegal stuffs that are not even legal in our country. When your realize it you will become stupid. You might take drugs after hearing these songs. After watching it you will become stupid. You will also learn to be materialistic. The shows promote fashion. That being rad is so cool. Being simple ain’t. You will buy the clothes of the artists. You will spend all the money that you have for just single clothing. In the end you would realize that the piece of clothing does not fit you well. You will be a walking paper bag that is not even paid for modeling it. They can also steal because of lack of money. They will steal and hurt others. The things that they want are the clothes that would make them look rich. They can also steal drugs and have sex at the same time. B. General Effect According to my research mttv has some good and bad effects to teenagers. However teens still love it . it is just a face that when they grow up they will just be faded memories. That they would less care/ according to some adults MTV is just a promotional strategy of businessmen so that their products will be sold. Some men also think that there so many bad effects of it . it also is a channel that cares about the go and bad side of life. That MTV is just a channel that shows music videos of the top artists today. The tv shows show some traits that will hurt people. According to teenagers, MTV is their Favorite channel. It is sometimes a world that others do not know. It is free because they are seeing their idols singing out loud. MTV is a company that has been with so many generations. It also has touched may lives in all over the world. They have inspired so many young people back then who are now very successful. It also makes teens dream come true to their lives. Over all you can not really blame them for doing such things that are not very appropriate. In the end it will always be you fault/. The last decision of a teenager is from himself/herself. The veracity behind this development above is seen in the fact that America’s direct participation in formulation, interpretation and enforcement of international law is always perceived as being geared towards sociopolitical and economic hegemony. The case is not any different in the event that the US attempts to achieve these ends through the United Nations (UN) since America is known to contribute over 75% of the UN budget, and thereby having an inordinate sway therein. The same case will apply to international organizations such as the Breton Wood Institutions; World Bank and the IMF. The international community sees these two institutions as America’s conduit for extending its political and economic hegemony. Conversely, by using NGOs to marshal support for the formulation, interpretation and enforcement of certain laws, the US will realize greater efficiency. This is because, NGOs are better placed to demand accountability from state and non-state actors, since NGOs: liaise with the government; fund the government; and create employment opportunities. Because of this close acquaintance with the locals, NGOs can also participate not only in the formulation, interpretation and enforcement of a given law, but also in the domestication of the same. This scenario is aptly exemplified in America’s noble quest to have other countries pass terrorism laws, or the Antiterrorism Bill.
